[+]Can I utilize Financial Aid to pay for my rent at Paca and Tubman Houses?
Financial Aid and loans can be used to pay for your housing at Paca and Tubman Houses. However, you must notify Financial Aid that Paca and Tubman Houses are on-campus housing, but privately owned and managed.
You will need to contact the Financial Aid Office (410-704-4239) to find out what will be covered under your award package. If funds are there, we won’t expect your rental payment until you receive your rebate check, provided you submit the Paca and Tubman House Financial Aid Agreement (available under the Application/ Forms tab of our website), documentation of your aid, and the anticipated date that the funds will be available. You must provide to Paca and Tubman Houses official documentation (copy of award letter / printout of Online Services award page) to confirm your award. Otherwise, you will be subject to a five percent (5%) late fee for not paying your rent on time. Please complete and submit the Financial Aid Agreement to Paca House Leasing Office, not Towson University.
Any Towson University based expenses being covered by financial aid will be applied directly by the University. You will then be issued a rebate check for any remaining amount that you can use to pay for your rent. The Financial Aid Office doesn’t pay Paca and Tubman Houses directly.

[+]Wall hangings and decorations policy
Wall Hangings and Decorations Policy
Residents are permitted to use ANY method to hang items on the walls as long as they are aware that a fine for damages considered excessive beyond "normal wear and tear" may be assessed upon move-out.
“Normal wear and tear” is defined as small holes and stains that can be painted over without repairing the wall. Anything beyond that (large paint chips, holes, etc.) may constitute a fine.
Additionally, if residents wish to install curtain rods, towel racks, etc. and LEAVE THEM in their apartment upon move-out, this is considered an improvement to the room and students will not be fined as long as the installed items are functional and in good condition.
Recommended:
“finishing” nails
thumb tacks
3M self-releasing wall-hangers
painter’s tape
Not Recommended:
large nails
poster “tacky”
duct tape
Residents should NOT attempt to repair holes or other wall damage themselves. If such damage occurs, residents should complete a maintenance request at www.tuwestvillage.com. If, upon move-out, residents are found to have made wall repairs, a fine may be incurred.
For Additional Questions please contact 443-275-4060 or living@@tuwestvillage.com.
